テストでYou Tube動画を貼ってみます。うまくいきそうなら、今後、機会があるごとにさまざまな蝶の動画を貼っていこうと思います。これは東京・奥多摩で撮影したコムラサキ。時々見える紫の幻光が美しいですね。最近個体数が増えたようで、都心でも見られるようになってきています。

Just a test post of the movie file on Youtube. If it works well, we would like to introduce various movie file of butterflies. This movie file is the male of the Purple Emperor (Apatura metis) which is sucking water on the ground. Sometimes the purplish flash on the upperside wings can be seen. Recently this species seems to expand its range to urban part of Tokyo, so it is reported that we can see this species even in the center of the downtown in Tokyo. (July 2011, Oku-tama, Tokyo, JAPAN)
