【速報】2011年度総会・大会が開催
200人の参加で大盛況！

12月10日、東京大学・本郷キャンパスにて2011年度総会・大会が開催されました。当日は天候にも恵まれ、会員、非会員あわせておよそ200人の参加で盛大な会となりました。今年度の林賞を受賞されたオーストラリアのマイケル・ブレィビー博士は、御自身の著書に基づくオーストラリア蝶・蛾の描画史を講演してくれました。また、ブータンからの特別招待講演としてソナム・ワンディー氏は、今年我が蝶類学会とブータン政府の共同調査で確認されたブータンシボリアゲハ(http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~ey4y-tknm/bsjn/bsjn.html )の生態と保護上の展望について講演しました。会場は熱気に包まれ、大きな拍手が鳴り止みませんでした。

【For Immediate Release】2011 Auunal Meeting
With 200 participants!

On December 10, our annual meeting was held in the University of Tokyo. We were blessed with sunny weather and about 200 participants gathered. Dr. Michael Braby (Australia) who is the winner of 2011 HAYASHI Award made an interesting presentation on the history of artworks on butterflies and moths in Australia. Another guest speaker, Mr. Sonam Wandgi (Bhutan) made a presentation on Ludlow Bhutan Glory (Bhutanitis ludlowi) which has just been confirmed by the joint survey with our society and Bhutan government.
