今年の林賞はオーストラリアのマイケル・ブレィビー博士に贈られることになりました。受賞記念講演として、ブレィビー博士には、オーストラリアの蝶・蛾研究の歴史を、描画作品を通じて概観していただくことになっています。1770年のキャプテン・クックの探検航海から21世紀の今に至るまでの歴史を一気に学べる貴重なチャンスです。お見逃し無く！！

Our society's award, HAYASHI Award is given to those who made a great contribution to Lepidopterology. This year Dr. Michael Braby (Australia) wins the award. He makes a special presentation on the history of the art works on butterflies and moths in Australia. He summarizes the long history starting from the voyage by James Cook in 1770 to the present century. This is a great oppotunity to learn this long history at one time.
