ブータンシボリアゲハ展示、好評につき進化研での会期延期！

　去年、日本に初めてもたらされたブータンシボリアゲハの標本初公開で嬉しいニュースです。すでに東大総合研究博物館での展示は終了してしまいましたが、進化生物学研究所の展示期間が延長されることになりました。当初はあす（11日）まででしたが、2週間延長して今月25日までとなりました。連日、多くの方が見学に訪れているということで、進化研では展示内容も拡充し、調査隊員が撮影したブータンシボリアゲハの貴重な生態映像も上映することになりました。

The exhibition of the specimen of Ludlow’s Bhutan Glory extended!

A good news has just arrived. The specimens of Ludlow’s Bhutan Glory (Bhutanitis ludlowi), gift from the Bhutan government arriving in Japan last year, have been exhibited at two institutions since this February. Although one of the institutions, the University Museum of the University of Tokyo, has already closed the exhibition, the other institution, the Research Institute of Evolutionary Biology (RIEB) decided to prolong the exhibition for another two weeks (the original schedule until March 11 now rescheduled until March 25). Every day many people visit the museum to see the world rare swallowtail butterfly. At RIEB the visitors also enjoy watching a very precious video of Ludlow’s Bhutan Glory. This video was shot by one of the member of the research team.
Do not miss this great opportunity to see the historic specimens! On March 20, Mr. Yamaguchi Shuhei (Trustee of our society, Chief Researcher of RIEB) will give a short presentation on Bhutanitis species at RIEB. For further information, visit the following URL.
